Michal Butler’s passion for furniture & cabinet making came early as wandered around his grandfather’s cabinet shop nearly 40 years ago. Michal’s grandfather inherited the his shop & cabinet making skills from his father in law, who mastered the craft in the 19th century working as Apprentice in New York City furniture shop. Early in the last century he returned to Poland & established his own shop. Michal’s father & younger brother are in charge of the shop back in the old country at this time. Michal Immigrated to America over 16 years ago after graduating from the Technical Drafting School of Ostroleka & countless hours spent working in his family’s cabinet shop. Shortly after arriving in the USA Michal was hired in a local Fairfield County cabinet shop. 3 years later he established his own shop known as Fairfield Kitchens.

Cabinets of all styles are available through Fairfield Kitchens such as frameless, framed, inset and inset with bead. We provide cabinets in various finishes such as painted, stained, highlighted, burnished, vintage, patina, etc. Several options include: glazing, distressing, wearing, sand through, as well as inset and inset with a bead etc. Inset and inset with bead is commonly a 30%- 40% upcharge with most cabinet companies and is very popular in Fairfield County. Also, we offer a wide array of countertop choices such as granite, quartz, laminate, and butcher block as well as ecofriendly surfaces (countertop services for home owner ONLY).

Our state of the art 3,500 square foot environmentally controlled facility is located in Shelton, CT. The building houses our sophisticated woodworking tools & CNC machines, that devices most local shops haven’t yet incorporated in to there production process. Michal’s passion for innovation & his constant research for new cabinet making processes & tooling in the woodworking field have created a facility that can deliver laser precision joinery with micro smooth finishes while leaving a minimum carbon footprint.
